Pakistan participating in 12 Afghan projects

ISLAMABAD (June 03 2004): Pakistan is actively participating in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Afghanistan and handling 12 development projects, including roads, railways, education, health and IT sectors in the country, official sources told APP here on Wednesday.

Sources said Pakistan had already constituted a committee on reconstruction and rehabilitation of Afghanistan to keep watch on these projects, adding 13 meetings of the committee have been so far convened.

They also said that $100 million has been allocated as assistance on grant basis by Pakistan for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Afghanistan. Out of $100 million, so far $33 million has been disbursed, they said.

During the past 16 months, they said three Joint Economic Commission (JEC) and the Joint Ministerial Commission meetings between the two countries have been held.

damn this shit, they can better spent it on our own poor people, instead of these people who accuse us of every terrorist act in their country.

Man... we have more desperately poor people than the whole population of Afghanistan... let's help our own people first.

They are our neighbours, and they are not going to fly away. Why can't
you guys think positive and reach out for friendship? We have always had
a screwed up relation with India and we wouldn't want to open up a Western
front.

Also it is very strategic. The Iranians and Indians are forming an allience to
make Afghanistan favorable to them, we should do the same. Also ask the
fat-@sses in Saudia and UAE to help out.

We had Afghanistan as our puppet state with the Taliban in power. .. now we have gone from a alliance to nearly hostiile! (ask the border guards)

and to mess things up even further USA bombs Afghanistan back to the stonge age and we are left to clean up the mess
