US investors to visit Pakistan next month

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of US investors intend to introduce GSP technology in Pakistan will be visiting Pakistan next month.

Talking to Geo, Federal Minister for industry and production, Liaquat Ali Jatoi told that an American Group wanted to introduce GSP technology in Pakistan with an investment of $500 million; besides, another Group would like to set up a plant for producing electricity through solid waste.

Liaquat Jatoi told that the Austrian investors were interested in Pakistan Steel Mills up gradation and they were willing to invest Euro 600 million.

Federal minister told that a German investor was interested in setting up a steel plant in Pakistan for which they have offered to invest $50 million.

Liaquat Jatoi said, “However, some government departments have been found putting spanners in the process of foreign investments and the government has initiated efforts to remove these hurdles.”
