We speak better English than Indians: Musharraf
WASHINGTON: Asserting "we speak better English than the Indians," Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf said that the trend of outsourcing jobs to India from the US was soon going to change.
Musharraf, who came in Washington on Wednesday for five hours to launch the Congressional Caucus on Pakistan, told a crowd of Pakistani Americans that his country was changing, its image was changing and the trend of outsourcing jobs to India should also change with that "because we speak better English than the Indians."
This caused a lot of laughter in the audience in which the President also joined.
He said the "new" Pakistan, which was seeking to project itself as a moderate, progressive nation where violence and fundamentalism had no place, was characterised by the rise of hope and all Pakistanis should be proud of that. .........................>>>>>>

People of India second to none: PM
Admiring Indians abroad touching dizzy heights in various fields, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said inspired by their example, his dream was to see emergence of a new India where people back home would not feel the need to go outside the country to pursue their ambitions.
"The world today recognises that given the proper environment, people of India are second to none," Singh said at a reception hosted in his honour by Indian Ambassador to US Ronen Sen and attended by over 1000 Indian-Americans in New York late on Thursday night.
The 71-year-old architect of India's economic reforms was repeatedly cheered as he told them that no group of immigrants in American history have achieved what they have within a span of one generation.
Singh, the bureaucrat-turned-politician, received a standing ovation from the gathering that included scientists, doctors, academics, engineers, businessmen and Indian-Americans working in different spheres.
Telling them that the 21st century is going to be India's century, Singh asked them to contribute to their motherland in all possible manner.
