I don't care man, listen, we have wind, water, sunshine, the works, its about damn time we start using them! You all know what I mean, building windmills, solar pannels, and hydro-electric plants. Okay, the unit cost is always expensive, but hey, in the long-run, its a huge benefit isn't it? Honestly, we can rely on nuclear reaction, but thats just dangerous, and we should start straying from that a bit for our energy needs.

What we could do is, if we like nuclear so much, invest some heavy cash into Nuclear Fission reaction, I hear its cleaner and more productive than normal atom reaction. Thats a lot of money for R&D, and no one's actually (not even the west) has been able to master it yet, we need some gifted people in addition to a lot of cash.

However, we can build a lot of windmills, solar pannels, and hydro-electric plants accross the country, we should stray away from Gas and oil when it comes to home needs, electic ovens should be more widespread!

Alot of renewable energey and alternative enrgy projects are under development in pakistan.nuclear, wind, solar everyhting with investment form outher countries!!!>I have no idea when these projects will finish but lets say sometime in 2010.

Spot on bro.Ok i know that there were talks about windmills in tharparkar in the late 90s, 98 i think.
Waise Nuclear power generation isnt all that bad, almost zero emission gases. The only negative is nuclear waste, but as far as safety record goes, chernobyl is the only one that comes to mind. All in all they are pretty safe.U must know abt the nuclear plant in pickering, seeee if it was that unsafe they wudnthave it in a country like Canada.
Now that Pk has nukes,i dont think any country will refuse if we ask them for help in nuclear power generation.
Solar energy from what i hear is very expensive right now, but yes atleast the research has to be started.I think someone pointed out that its already underway.
We should nto forget that jus like ppl talk abt India being a big market,we are also one big market with 160 million(9th in the wrold) so i think a lot of western companies have their eyes on us as well. What i would like to see is the involvement of local industry and researchers in these projects as well.
Oh and Pk definately has to come up with tougher laws concerning industrial waste, those leather factories in upper punjabi are polluting our rivers.the laws we have arent implemented either.
