Nobody has a magic wand ! 2010 is just 5 years from now !
To stop the natural drain on the city .. it will take at least 25 years of major strategy ...
Of course it is a good begining and is see the Jamati major Naimatullah as an icon of forward march for Karachi.

Do work with the Japanese in significant capacity.
Their work ethic has to be seen to be believed. They are also rolling in money. Thirdly, a lot of their production processes, technology and equipment are simply incomparable in most cases.
Builders and manufacturers extraordinarie, only good for Pakistan. If there is a finishing touch, this is it. Japanese companies are also generally great to work with and for investing.
But Karachi is crawling with the violent types, isn't it? Can guarantee their safety?

who told you that? its not good to make assumptions. the majority of karachiites are extremely peaceful and decent peope. and karachi has no more 'violent types' than any other metropolis of the world. in fact, i've read that D.C. has a higher crime rate than karachi does. just goes to show....

Theres nothing strange about the comment. Pakistan is not the most secure place for foreign contractors. Iranian Engineers, French Engineers and even Chinese have been murdered in cold blood. These people were here as guests to build our infrastructure. I Dont think recognizing an existing problem is anti Pakistani, infact its simply realizing that a problem exists.

Man Naimatullah should just hand over the city to the Japanese...Period!
I mean we have seen what our own idiot builders do (or not do, to be exact) so I think letting the japanese develop the city for us could be a dream come true!
