Pakistan and Iran to issue multiple visas to transporters
QUETTA (August 24 2005): Pakistan and Iran have agreed to issue multiple visas to transporters/drivers for six months which may be extended to one year later. This decision was taken at the conclusion of two-day Pakistan-Iran Joint Commission on road transportation meeting here on Tuesday. The two countries deliberated major issues in cordial manner.
The two countries agreed that National Highway N-40 linking Quetta with Taftan border will be improved to facilitate the long vehicles plying on this road.
Particularly road section from Noshki to Dalbandin will be taken up shortly for reconstruction and widening according to international standards.
