MoU signed to set up desalination plant in Gwadar

KARACHI (September 08 2005):
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Associated Builders (Pvt) Limited of Hashu Group and Pure Water Technologies (Pvt) Limited on Wednesday to set up imported desalination plant of Rs 100 million.

Balochistan Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani was the chief guest at this signing ceremony held in Gwadar at merge residential project named Golden Palms. The signatories were Executive Director of ABL, Shah Muhammad Misbah and Director Technical of PWT, Arshad Rasheed, says a report teaching here.

Chairman, Gwadar Port, Akbar Pasnani, Director General Gwadar Development Authority Akbar Lehri, Chief Executive, Marketing Network, Athar Mehmood, Mir Nazar, Noor Afzal besides elite from the area were also present.

Through desalination of see water, the plant would supply 200,000 gallon sweet water per day to the Golden Palms which was the biggest housing scheme in Gwadar, spread over 1,000 acres land. Later the production would be increased to 400,000 MGD.

Under the agreement, PWT would execute the project of water desalination plant within next six months in collaboration of Meinhardt, a Singapore based international company.
