Dewan Motors BMW facility opens in Lahore

LAHORE (September 20 2005): Managing Director of BMW Middle East Group, Guenther Seemann, and Chief Executive Officer of Dewan Motors, Muhammad Yousuf Farooqui, inaugurated BMW facility here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Yousuf Farooqui said that Dewan Motors offers entire range of BMW and Mini cars, including the BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series passenger cars, X3 and X5 SAVs and Z4roadster.

The Mini product-line on offer includes the Mini One, the Mini Cooper and the Mini Cooper S. He said the newly inaugurated facility is a project of Rs 160 million and spread over an area of 3,600 square meters catering the needs of customers in the city. Guenther Seemann said that since Dewan Motors became the sole importer for BMW and Mini cars in 2004, the market has responded positively to range of premium products, achieving a growth of 150 percent over the previous year.

Continuous online and foreign training of after-sales teams' builds confidence and the ability to handle the world's most technologically advanced cars. Dewan Motors President Farooq Mustafa said that the new facility encompasses a service area with 16-work bays installed with the latest BMW equipment worth Rs 12 million. In addition, the parts store, with more than 2500 line items worth Rs 15 million facilitates the quick replacement of parts.

Dewan Motors will open new display centers and product center in Faisalabad, Sialkot and Multan in the near future to ensure BMW customers in these cities enjoy the ultimate ownership experience, he added.
