Expo centre in Sialkot demanded

SIALKOT (September 21 2005): Local exporters' community has appealed to the Punjab government to set up "Expo Centre" in this export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry of the country. The establishment of Expo Centre in this export hub has become more imperative at this juncture keeping in view the fast changing business trends globally.

The establishment of expo centre would enable Sialkoties to hold international and domestic trade fairs and industrial exhibitions in the area. It may be mentioned here that international cargo flights would be started from Sialkot from December this year.

The functioning of airport in the area would surely open new horizons of industrial development in Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat areas as well as help increasing the export volume.
