Premier international carrier Emirates announced on Thursday the launch of a second daily non-stop flight from Dubai and New York from November 7, saying the move came in the wake of "unprecedented success" of the first flight.
The non-stop flight would be operated by a wide-bodied A340-500 aircraft as in the other service, which was launched in June last year.

An Emirates spokesperson said the second daily service was launched due to the "unprecedented success of the initial non-stop service between the two cities."

The two flights have been timed in such a manner as to reach New York either at breakfast time or around lunch giving the traveller "far greater flexibility while planning the trip for business or leisure," the spokesperson said.
