Al- Tamimi group of Saudi Arabia will invest 300 million dollars to construct a multi purpose complex in Islamabad, it is learnt.
Sources in Board of Investment (BOI) told online on Thursday that the complex would comprise high-rise office and apartment towers, a shopping complex and a 5-star deluxe hotel. The total project cost is expected to be around 300 million dollars.

The Pak-Gulf Construction (private) Limited, a joint venture of the Al Tamimi Group of Saudi Arabia and Sardar Builders of Pakistan, purchased a 6.6-acre plot from the CDA for Rs 6.6 billion after an open auction to construct a multi-purpose complex, first of its kind in Pakistan.

Sources said that through this project, they would open up job opportunities while thousands of workers would be involved in the construction process.

The construction activity is expected to take three years, sources added.

The project is ideally situated in the heart of Jinnah and Faisal avenues. It would be a monument in itself with exceptional design features, state-of-the-art ecreational and entertainment facilities, high-tech space for offices and apartments offering an exceptional living experience with breath-taking view.

Furthermore, the project offers a first of its kind an inward looking shopping mall. The sponsors plan to have in place an experienced project management team to implement the project. They have short listed renowned architects from Malaysia, Pakistan and the UK, one of which is Atkins who designed the Jumeriah Beach Hotel and the Burj-Al-Arab in Dubai, the only seven-star hotel in the world.
