Islamabad: The first ship owned by a private firm was registered in Pakistan after ten years.

This was stated by Federal Ports and Shipping Minister, Babar Khan Ghauri in a press conference on Thursday.

He informed that no ship was working before within the private sector, adding that the registrations was due to the incentives announced by the government to the shipping sector.

The Pak-India shipping protocol will be signed soon after it will be approved by the Indian cabinet and it will prove to be fruitful for the shipping industry, the minister added.
