Little industrial and manufacturing investments however. For us to become an economic powerhouse we need the development of an industrial and educational base.

Thank you ABBASIA for summarizing the Arab investments. They look more substantial this way!

Inshallah, these investments will make a difference in our economy. I agree that manufacturing isnt getting the real attention, however, these investments will require a greater industrial output e.g. Cement, Steel, Ceramics, etc etc.....So there will be indirect benifits.

Actually, Arab investors need partners who can work hard! If there are groups out there who are willing to co-invest with them and give a good project proposal and do the 'physical' work, I am sure some Princes can be coaxed to invest in medium scale manufacturing investments.

Yes investment is needed, but we need to diversify. And increasing the available skill sets in our available pool is going to be crucial. So a pronounced increase in educational insititutions that whose size and strength represents the countries growing population is a must. The quality of education that is being offered to the new generation also must improve dramatically to get the nation at par with standards of industrial nations. The access to which has to reach the poor masses more so than those who have the means to buy education for their kids. We have to offer more for these investments to continue finding strong and feasable reasons to come to the nation. Arms of Pease , where are you from?
