NESPAK executes 450 highway projects at home and abroad
LAHORE, Nov 23 (APP): National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) has made a major contribution in the field of highways, motorways, roads and bridges by executing 450 projects at home and abroad.
NESPAK sources told APP on Thursday that the Highways and Transportation Engineering Division of NESPAK has formed a specialty and project management group to ensure state-of-the-art construction techniques.
This division has also developed specialized skills to provide a variety of services ranging from advisory role in policy making to pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, planning, design and construction supervision of highways, motorways and bridge projects.
NESPAK has thus remained in the lead by providing the entire gamut of engineering consultancy services to clients in Pakistan and abroad.
Since its inception, the Highways Division has designed more than 50,000 kilometers of roads and ancillary works of various categories, with quality workmanship being the hallmark of performance.
Some of the important national projects recently undertaken by NESPAK include the Lahore Ring Road, costing Rs 20 billion; Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad Motorway (M-3) Rs 4.5 billion; Faisalabad Rehabilitation Project Rs 2 billion; Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway Rs 8.2 billion; Okara Bypass; a new bridge on River Chenab at Shershah and upgradation and relocation of the Karakuram Highway.
The overseas projects being executed include several road and highway projects in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
