KABUL: A senior delegation of private sector trade of Afghanistan will visit Pakistan shortly to import Pakistan-made diesel engines for agricultural purpose.
Chief executive officer KAM Engineering Khalid Saeed said that the Pakistan-made KAM diesel engines have become very popular in Afghanistan, compared to all brands of those made in India, and are being successfully used for agricultural purposes, Pajhwok Afghan news reported.
He said the Afghan team will visit the state of the art plant and see the engine assembly process, using indigenous technical know-how and expertise, which has helped to control the price of the product with minimum overhead expenses.
Afghanistan is now inclined to bring maximum area under cultivation to meet the ever increasing need for food grains.
Khalid Saeed said: "We have already sold thousands of engines of different capacity to Afghan brothers on cash payment. We are also providing after-sale service facility even in Afghanistan."
