I don't think iran will take a strike on its terriotry lying down. It will hit back. The parties which will suffer the most are the gcc countries. If the strait of hurmuz gets targeted most of the trans-shipment cargo and middle eastern cargo will have to be dropped off at the closest safe port - gwadar.

In theory karachi lies at the centre of most international air routes - not dubai. It used to be a hub for many airlines like KLM, Air-france, swiss-air. All these airlines took their business to dubai. Mostly due to better facilities and safety. During the first gulf war, karachi saw an increase in air traffic, as alot of planes were diverted.

If iran decides to target middle eastern cities like dubai, abu-dhabi etc pakistan will see alot of money flowing in. Not just from pak expats living there and trying to return but from trade as well

Arent you a bit sick in the head thinking about profits when another muslim countrys is being attacked by US. Why you not think of the innocents who will be killed why you are thinking of dollars clearly shows your backward mentality.

What would happen if Pakistan was next on the hit list after Iran, your type would flee with thier bags and personel belongings first and leave everyone behind right? Coward person fu4k off.

an attack on iran would be extremely unfortunate...I am not in favour of that....however there is nothing pakistan can do to stop it...what is written above only talks about the results of an attack...it is not an endorsment!

Pakistan can do nothing??

Pakistan goverment and people have openly rejected plans of attack on Iran and said that attack on Iran will mean attack on Pakistan. Last muslim conference Pakistan took front line in backing Iran and tried to get Arabs and Persian to table and talk.

Now you are reading too much and relying on your wishfull thinking...

Anyway, so far the official statements from the Pak government is that Pakistan is for diplomatic solution of Iran's nuclear issue and incase a war happens, Pakistan will play neutral. Pakistan will not allow anyway US to use its teritory for war. But to the matter of fact, US does not need Pakistan teritory rather it will use aircraft carriers based in the Gulf for airstirkes on Iran, a total invasion is not very likely.

But in my oinion US will not call the first shot rather Israel AF will do the dirty job and if Iran try to hit back on Israel or US installations present in Gulf/Iraq/Afganistan than US will come to the game to knock off Iran's what ever military capabilities. Even in this scenario total invasion is very less likely.

I am also against war on Iran but if war heppens, it will have tremendous boost for Gwader port indeed.

I agree with most in here that an attack on Iran should be avoided at all cost. Gwadar has enough potential to benefit Pakistan's economy. Reason being that China needs at least another 10 Gwadar’s to quench her energy thirst. Besides, we cannot profiteer at the expense of our brothers and sisters blood.
