I don't know who teaches you this kind of information. Muslims ruled India for 1000 years without butchering. If they would have wanted to convert people by force then you would not see a single hindu in India today. The fact that after ruling for this long and still there is a big population of Hindus in India should be an eye and brain opener for you. Islam does not believe in compulsion or persecution. Now compare it with Christanity. Look at the whole areas of central and south America (100% Christian population-- Why??) After these areas fell to the Christian sword, option given to the residents was to convert to Christanity or be ready to die!!!! Complete conversions were achieved there and then. After Hindus fell to the Muslim sword, do you think we could not have done this if we wanted to??? NO, this is not what Islam teaches. There is no compulsion in Islam. Total freedom of religion was given to Hindus. As a matter of fact many Hindus held very high positions under Mughal Kings and many Principalities were owned and ruled by Hindus that were given to them by Muslim rulers. Although Hindus were given total freedom in religion, Muslim rulers felt the need to eradicate some social evils that were prevailing at the time in Hindu society. For example "SATTI" where wives was supposed to burn with the dead husbands. Muslim rulers could not see that happening so they banned that practice. How many Hindus taught in India know this today???? I bet no one. Infact one time I read a news article on some Indian website that recently some woman in India was put to SATTI and the writer mentioned that it was an old Hindu tradition that was banned by the British. What a lie? I was surprized that no one challanged that information. They could not give the credit to the people who actually saved all Hindu women from this practice. And wait a minute these are the Muslim people who live as oppressed minority in their own country. India has a hard time teaching true history. In order to gain superiority complex for majority Hindu population it will be taught all chopped, twisted and fabricated. That will be the only way to justify the dignity or the justification for all the past millenium worth of being ruled by talented, ballzy and fair minded minority.

Now lastly I want everyone to understand once and for all about the roots and ethnicity of Muslims of the sub-continent (Pakistan+India+Bangladesh). It is a wide spectrum and we are all proud to be Muslims no matter what ethnicity. In Islam no Muslim of one race is better than the Muslim of another race. In front of God the only merit is the deeds. But for the sake of information before someone can generalize and distort the facts, clear information should be there. In many cases Muslims in the sub-continent have ancestors who were Hindus vary from 3 genrations ago to as much as 40 to 50 generations ago depending which area they lived (Not coward Hindus but Intelligent Hindus who could see the light in the dark society). At the same time due to geographical location the area that is currently Pakistan being at the invaders alley where most of the Arab, Turkish, Mughal, Afghan armies arrived on their way to Delhi, many people intermarried or started living and permantly settled with the indigenous populations. Due to these interaction over the last 1000 years, the areas of present day Pakistan were predominently Muslims in most of the history. That is why you would notice in the recent history (1761 AD) that when Ahmad Shah Abdali marched from Kabul with an army of 60,000 to fight the 500,000 army of Marhatas, as he passed from G.T. Road through current day Pakistan, another 100,000 gets added to his army by the time he reached Panipat to crush the power of Marhatas who were planning on chopping and thowing all the Muslims of the sub-continent in to the Indian Ocean.

Well we know our history well bro and any ignorant person who argu with us abt our history. As far as i know only abt 17% of our population was ethnic indian and others were from their own locality. However most of the areas of pakistan were budhas and there is hardly any sign of ancient hindu civilisation existing in pakistan.

Yes, true, as long as current day Pakistan is concerned. If you look at this Indus valley civilization, it is geographically separate from all sides and had a natural geological barrier from mostly all sides. Difficult mountainous terrain on the complete west, north and north-eastern areas. Also there is one of the largest desert in the south-east. That is why, luckily today an army of half million can comfortably defend such a big land mass. Also the area it encloses has been blessed with the most fertile land that was being irrigated from the water coming down from the world's tallest mountain ranges. That is why the world's oldest civilizations could exist and flourish here.
