Expensive packages. Especially, the CPE is 18K ~US$300. The upfront payment is too much.

its not that expensive, my friend has just got it installed, its 512 KB ( alhough its shared) connection with 4k upfront payment + 1300 monthly charge, I'll buy this package soon.

It could be processing fees for the contract and any equipment they might proivde with that. People in Pakistan might call it upfront payment but they seem to be connection charges which are normall, well at least here in Australia.

I think you may be right. Like in the US you have to pay for connection charges, but then the monthly payments.

But they are still a long way away from spreading their network of cable/dsl in major cities. So far they are only available in Lahore. Which kinda sucks as i hate having worldcall .... swear.gif bounce.gif
