This news appeared in the Daily Nation. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand, NI.HI.SI., Ex- Chairman NESCOM, Member (Technical) PAEC, DG (NDC) has contracted cancer and his intestines have been affected. He has been advised to travel to the UK immediately for treatment. Let us all pray for his early recovery and long life. Dr. Samar along with other scientists, Dr. Muneer Ahmed Khan, Dr. Ashfaq, Dr. I. H. Usmani and Dr. Qadeer one of the many great scientists who worked hard day in and day out for Pakistan. Their services can be matched to none.

Chief, I would assume it could be due to the exposure to radioactivity he might have gotten exposed to due to the nature of his work. The govt. should get him treated ASAP in a top notch cancer treatment hospital. All the scientists of Pakistan are extremely precious to the nation. This guy has knowingly put his life at stake to make the country's defence impregnable. The nation could never pay him back for the services him and others have rendered.

Well if the news is true then may Allah give him a quick recovery.

I doubt its poison.... his job itself would make him prone to cancer. Lets just hope he gets well soon, and I hope the government gets him the best treatment possible (if I'm correct, some very high standard cancer treatment facilities are now available in Pakistan).

While I hope everything become fine for our top most scientist, however stomach cancer is not the end of the world subject to it being diagnosed in early stage.

Surely this will influence his time schedule on the projects, however, I would say its treatment is also available in Pakistan itself.

May Allah keep him in his Amaan.

it is good killing procedure. we are thinking that it is due to radiations. but scientist work in another clothes while working near radiation. it can be victim one scientist by accedently. but one more victim like samar.... show that somethng wrong

I don't think a senior official wouldn't have given up exposing himself to radioacitvity since several decades already. Its the job for technicians. Maybe he ogt cancer by chance, maybe not. I hope he recovers.

Didn't Dr. A.Q. Khan got treated From Agha Khan Hospital after it was diagonosed. I think if a man in prison can get this kind of treatment then obviously Sr. Mand will also got treatment by Govt. in finest hospital.

our history is full of these kind of troubles.... it is quite natural thinking of evry pakistani.

Take it from someone whose beem there; You guys know jack #### about the nature of and causes of various types of cancer.
He is at an age where people normally contract intestinal cancer (way different from stomach cancer).
There are numerous triggers of his type of cancer,( radiation exposure is not one of them), and we don't know which one was the cause.
As to the wiseguy who wrote it "Poison is a treatment for not a cause of cancer."

We don't know jack about how exactly cancers are formed because there isn't a single person in this world that can tell us exactly how and why cancers form (are contracted); the cause of cancer (the exact cause, since there are numerous causes for each cancer type) is still being studied.

its really scary to think he has got cancer..cos a few days back, my uncles' best friend passed away..he was as healthy as anyone i had seen of his age..he ws around 45-50...there was some problem inside his ear..a small injury or smthing like that..he kept on taking antibiotics..and within a v short time, he was diagnosed with cancer..he was admitted to al-shifa..but no one took it seriously, as apparently the cancer was diagnosed quiet early..and he was in good shape..and high spirits..then suddenly his condition worsened..and in a matter of days..he died. :(

First off, this is a pretty retarded conspiracy theory. And secondly, what's done is done and cannot be undone. So, whatever the case, just pray for his good health, and cut these random theories. Even if you are right (and that's nearly as plausible as time travel), there's no point of thinking about it.
