Hi,

I thought I might intro myself. Being somewhat brief:

I am Muslim, live in Kashmir [Occupied Kashmir, that is, or I might say Jammu & Kashmir, so my 'countrymen' don't get confused].

I grow quite tired of indiaN tv, endless stupidity, so mess around on internet.

This is a likeable place, so I joined. I hope I can increase my knowledge here, and maybe contribute somethin..... more or less. PakistanFlag.gif

I might as well make it clear right now that I AM NOT AN IN'DIAN, but unfortunately i am supposed to be one. So dont be surprised with me being a little un-patriotic to my 'country'. swear.gif

See you!

Salam brother there is quite a few Kashmiri’s on this site but virtually all are on the Pakistan side, including myself. We had another brother on here from Srinagar but he has not posted in a while. Anyhow welcome and I hope one day our two sides can be united.

Hi and Welcome .I myself have joined just a week ago. You said that you are form Kashmir and you are not Indian. Is this the way how all kashmiries feel. I have a friend from Kashmir and she said totally opposite what you have said. She said people no more support Pakistan there. Specially the new generation they like being called Indian and they introduced themselves as Indian. They like to travel on Indian passport. It’s a big country with much better economy and they will have more opportunities being Indian. She said that most of the young people have to go to Indian cities like Delhi and Mumbai for higher studies as there are not many institute in Kashmir. She is from Srinagar and herself has studied in Delhi. I know it’s possible that it’s just her who thinks like that but there is equal possibility that many others also think like that. So I just wanted to ask that do you think Pakistan is losing support in Kashmir?

that is totally incorrect. i have ALOT of friends from Indian Occupied Kashmir here at my university. most of them from Srinagar, and they ALL hate india more than anyone else. some of them have lived in Delhi and other indian cities but still they hate india. infact the Kashmir Students Society here regularly organizes conferences, seminars etc... on the indian genocide and brutality carried out by the indian govt on the Kashmiri people. the Kashmiri brothers i knw (from indian occupied Kashmir) always tell me that they are more comfortable with Pakistanis since we are culturally more closer to them than indians. infact one of my Kashmiri friends the other day was saying that if Kashmir becomes part of Pakistan (InshAllah) he will come and live in Mansehra (my hometown)!

One delusional girl does not account for the whole population like you said sis. For all you know she could have told you the biggest bull going….I can assure as a Kashmiri that is not true and the population detests Indians with a vengeance. There is saying in Kashmir that the worst insult a person can give you is to call you Indian….They see themselves completely different from the rest of the population and in essence they are being racially, religiously and culturally different from Indians. The only comparisons I have seen from them is they aspire to be with Kashmiri’s on our side or with the people of the Northern areas and I’m in contact with hundreds across the border regularly so give a accurate picture of the situation.

I won’t even tell you what the people of my side of Kashmir [Azad] feel about the Indians because it is simply to mean lol!

Dear Wulff,

Assalam-o-Alaikum!

Welcome to the forum. There is nothing to be unpatriotic while saying that you are not part of the present Indian lot. Its not the Indians who are good or bad. Its what they do, make them. Tell us how it feels living in a paradise (As they say Kashmir is).

Best Wishes!
