The Afghan government says it has evidence that nuclear waste from Pakistan was dumped in Afghanistan during the reign of the Taleban.
lol these Afghans are either trying to play an April Fool's Day joke on their public, or if they are serious, they have officially lost their marbles.

"dumped" is a scary word. if it was done safely and we probably paid the taliban to put the waste there then ok. im sure it wasnt "dumped" or it wouldve been discovered sooner.
having said all this i bet its just green goo and they think its nuke waste? :/

Leaders of Afghanistan dumped their problems in Pakistan, then Afghans went to other countries and then cursed Pakistan, even over-sea Pakistanis who did not have nothing to do with their struggle.
And now, look who's back, the Afghans living inside Pakistan and thus creating problems in Afghanistan.
Pakistan should sue the US, EU and Afghanistan for having taken the burden ALONE throughout the 1990s!
Lets teach them all a lesson.

Drug production in Afghanistan has reached all time high. Most of the World’s cocaine is now being produced in Afghanistan. It seems that Afghan officials are not only overlooking these cartels but are customers too!

symptoms from radioactivity in afghans may be coming from the vast amount of DU 'dumped' in their country by US' bombings.
The minister said he did
not know how much waste was dumped or for how long the practice had gone on.
Pakistan said it would comment only after
Kabul approaches it officially. Mr Wardag said he
did not know the exact nature of the evidence.Looks like more bull from the Northern Alliance run Afghan "government". After all the past bitching they have decided to make elaborate stories to smear us.
“Yes you have dumped waste here but we haven't seen any evidence, we don't know where it is and how much was dumped”. hmmmmmmmmmm

Afghan team probes 'nuclear dump'The Afghan president has set up a team to investigate claims Pakistan dumped nuclear waste in southern Afghanistan during the reign of the Taleban.Hamid Karzai's office had expressed concern at allegations raised in April that nuclear waste had been buried in the provinces of Helmand and Kandahar.
An Afghan minister told the BBC he had evidence nuclear waste was buried there. Pakistan denied the accusations.
Parliamentary affairs minister Faruq Wardag later withdrew his comments.
Tense relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan further deteriorated this week when Mr Karzai directly accused Pakistan's intelligence agency of having been involved in a recent wave of attacks in Afghanistan.
The Taleban were in power in Afghanistan from 1996 until they were overthrown in 2001.

If indeed this is true, which I sincerely doubt, does anyone concur that this is the closest Afghanistan is coming to possessing nukes for a long, long time?

So what officials they gonna send to check it out? NA thugs and warlords?? I doubt they have actually seen any nuke materials let alone got any knowledge about them. Surely, they will ask for the "servies" of India and perhaps America.
Even if this allegation is true, its kinda expose those ppl here who slate taliban and label them anti-pakistan. How much one can be loyal to Pakistan?

Kiplling in his book on this region said Afghanistan is a place on earth that seems God has dumped all the garbage there when he was creating the world.
So what if some more waste was added to the waste ;)
Karzai has come up with another failed attempt to create rift between Pakistanis and Afghans.
He had levelled all the allegations he could but failed on the account that even his own countrymen consider him and NATO cause of all the ills. Now he has come up with this issue.
BTW i was wondering if common people there would even know what is a nuclear waste ???

We might as well dump our nuclear waste on darzai monkey. This guys a complete joke and baffoon, its really sad to see this governments and the former musharafs govt lack of diplomatic power. Right after we joined this war we should have established our footprint in afghanistan. The US and Indians are no part of that region as we are. Pakistan and Afghanistan are more interlinked than most people realize yet this guy darzai is fueling fire between the 2.
The US are trying to cover up for there failures in Iraq by bringing the media spotlight to afghanistan, its a perfect chance for the pak govt to grab the US by its balls and demand more

Lein I think the nuke waste is affecting Karzai--I mean he's turned into a Fa-g and issuing fa-g statements--all due to that Nuke waster affecting his genes!!
