COMMENT

AntiVisual, Anti-Night Vision, Anti-Infra-red, Anti-Radar and Anti-Millimeter Wave. The average reduction in RCS is 86 percent and average reduction in detection range is 43.8 percent. Due to this net, a vehicle cannot be detected by a thermal or an IR camera. The net was wholly produced by Pakistan-based AWC and a prototype was first displayed at IDEAS 2004 alongside the Sino-Pak produced K-8 Jet Trainer. Orders for the net have so far been placed by Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.

Wow this sounds really impressive.

Link didn't work for me, any pics or concept art?

great news indeed.....links says that you require subscription.

True, it's subscription section. Anyhow, as soon as I get my hands on pics I'll post them.

Ah, awesome! The real technology here is the composition of the material.

Very simple application, you can use it to hide vehicles from thermal imaging.

But I wonder if it can also be used while the vehicle is in action? How feasible would it be to cover a vehicle thats moving?

Can I cover my car with it at night so it won't get stolen, or even drive around with it on my car so cops can't use their radar gun on me to give me a speeding ticket?

I think with a moving vehicle it is going to emit more heat hence it would be less effective. Also you have to consider how do you cover something that is moving, without building a frame around it and/or reducing visibility as a consequence. We have had this technology for a while, i have read about it on AWC website years ago.
