KARACHI: United Marine Agency (UMA) is launching a new direct EPIC service of Hamburg Sud (HS) between Karachi Port and Europe to cater to the ever-increasing demand of a growing trade volume between the two destinations.

Chief executive officer United Marine, Sohail Shams said this at the welcome reception of the new service of Hamburg Sud Monday.

Vice Admiral Ahmad Hayat H I (M), chairman Karachi Port Trust (KPT) acknowledged the efforts and professional services rendered by Hamburg Sud to their general agents United Marine Agencies (Pvt) Limited.

He said, “Their liaison with renowned Principals and Liners gives them leverages which other shipping agencies in our country should try and emulate. Their service and professional approach remains a paradigm for others to follow.” He said it was pride for KPT that Hamburg Sud liners of this standing were showing interest in our facilities.
