ISLAMABAD: A suicide bomber was arrested outside the office of a sensitive agency near the Combined Military Hospital in Rawalpindi late Thursday night, ‘The News’ learnt through a reliable source.
According to the source, who wanted not to be identified, the suicide bomber was arrested on the secret information received by an intelligence agency. The source said senior officers of the agency supervised the operation to arrest the bomber. Later, another accomplice of the accused was also arrested.
‘The News’ made several attempts to contact Inter-Services Public Relations Director General Major General Athar Abbas on his telephone but the calls went unattended. It was learnt that a grand operation was immediately launched to apprehend the culprits involved in planning suicide attacks in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
