Fighter like F-16 have their canopy open upwards, which could pose a problem to the pilot when he attempts to enter / get our. The pilot will have to hunch, otherwise he'll bang his head on the bottom of the canopy, especially if he has a long torso. Rafale and Gripen tried to address this issue by having the canopy open sideways. I would suggest have the hinge open the canopy all the way to 90 degrees. What do you suggest? BANANA.GIF

Oh, BTW, it's been a while since I last visited PDF. If you are wondering what I was doing on the Internet during that time, just search for hunkyrichdude using google. BANANA.GIF

Till today, bubble canopies have been proved the best! So they dont leave any serious issue behind!

Height and visibility of bubbles is good. But they need to improve the way they are opened. I suggest going back to the sliding style that WW2 planes used. Though Rafale and Gripen canopies are excellent in head-bumping avoidance. BVICTORY.GIF
