Guys I have been watching the magnificent opening ceremony and eagerly awaited the entrance of the Pakistani Olympic team. When they came in there was an almighty cheer from the Chinese people, which really melted my heart. Indeed the Chinese said they would give us a warm welcome and they did. The only cheers to match that were for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Russia.
Thank you so much our brothers and sisters. Long live China!

Pakistan is much much more than our great neighbor, long time friend and trusted ally, you are our brothers and sisters. The only regret I had was that President Musharraf could not be there in person to witness the precious moment.

Of course they received loud cheers and deserve it. What we promised is sports, no politics. For these big teams, the cheers are certainly louder, because many people are big fans of certain members in these teams and many are our heavyweight competitors. Cheers for smaller teams like Taiwan Hong Kong and Pakistan are out of special affection, people in Taiwan Hong Kong are our kin people, Pakistan is a brother.
really a magnificent extravaganza, it moved me completely though i am chinese.
thanks PAK brother!. i truly wish the applaud for pakistani athlete should be even more warmer.
good luck to your president! i know he has try his best to join the ceremony, but, u know, it is a little pity. but your prime minister comed beijing, that is great.
go pakistani hero athlete. you will have good luck in Beijing.

Wow... that was...
AMAZING
Although I thought the Chinese fans weren't loud enough. I mean the acoustics in the Bird's Nest must be wonderful, but they weren't as loud as I expected. In fact, it was appalling. And I hope China loses every competition in the Olympics with "fans" like those.

That's your problem, not every one has to go out of his way to satisfy your fancy.
