MULTAN: Battle inoculation drills of a combat group of (Armour Regiment) were held at Khairpur Tamewali, said an ISPR release issued here on Friday.The thrilling exercise of advance and encounter battle by "Desert Hawks" included support by elements of the Mechanised Infantry, Army Engineers, Army Air Defence and Artillery.

Corps Commander, Multan, Lt-Gen Sikandar Afzal, while talking to troops informally, emphasised that there was no alternative to practical training as the experience gained during peace time paid rich dividends in case of an eventuality.

He urged them to master their skills as their fitness for defence imbibed greater confidence in their countrymen to surmount any challenge to national security. The battle inoculation was witnessed by Lt-Gen Hamid Rab Nawaz, Inspector General Training and Evaluation, Major General Sardar Mehmood Ali Khan, Director General Military Training, Pakistan Army, Major General Muhammad Ovais Mustafa, Director General Inspectorate of Technical Development, and Major General Abid Pervaiz, General Officer Commanding.A large number of officers and Jawans also witnessed the exercise.
